Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers Reward Results In Arrest Of Suspects.

10/26/2021

Colorado Springs Police, following an anonymous tip to Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers, arrested juveniles in connection with vandalism at Venezia Park that occurred in September. The tip included videos of the vandalism in progress which helped CSPD identify and capture the vandals.

“We are grateful that an anonymous citizen came forward to give Crime Stoppers information that could be used to solve this crime. Crime Stoppers is a valuable public service for helping law enforcement agencies solve crimes,” said Don Addy, Chairman of PPACS. The reward was offered by PPACS on September 24, 2021, and had been doubled by a citizen contribution from “Hiking” Bob Falcone.

“PPACS is a valuable tool that helps us find suspects and we appreciate their help” said Commander Sean Mandel, head of Investigations for CSPD. “Citizens often have more information about crimes than we do, and having PPACS as a way for them to share that information anonymously is very helpful” he said.
