Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers Reports Sharp Rise in Arrests Thanks to Citizen Tips Pikes Peak Crime Stoppers (PPACS) reported a significant increase in arrests as of May 31, 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. Local law enforcement agencies made 22 arrests of individuals with active warrants after receiving 865 anonymous tips from concerned citizens in El Paso and Teller counties. Additional tips are still being actively investigated. “This is a vital contribution to safer communities,” said Don Addy, Chairman of the nonprofit organization. “Citizens who use PPACS are helping reduce crime and bring fugitives to justice.” PPACS receives a wide range of anonymous tips regarding crimes such as domestic violence, narcotics activity, thefts, and outstanding warrants. These tips are promptly forwarded to the appropriate local law enforcement agencies for investigation. The recent increase in arrests demonstrates the direct impact of this community-law enforcement partnership.
